In August of 2020, I didn’t know I could paint! So, how did I get from there to here? Here’s the very scaled down version if this crazy, interesting, inspired story.
Covid restrictions didn’t permit a group of us to celebrate a family member’s birthday at the venue that hosted group painting parties, so we improvised with a 15-minute follow-along video. When we were finished, my painting looked significantly different than the others. That night, upon discovering a previously unknown talent, God placed a desire in my heart to paint – the seed for Inspired Artistry by Carol was planted.
I spent, my non-working hours practicing and studying all aspects of acrylic painting. Then the economic realities of the pandemic hit, leaving me a casualty of drastic layoffs. By the end of the year, I sold my first painting.
So here I am painting for the Lord. Some paintings were inspired by beauty that is seen in God’s creation. Other paintings were inspired by impressions of how real God is in my life.
I pray that God will use this talent to speak to your heart, to help you see and feel that He is all around you. The God who created the universe knows your name, He loves you, and He wants the very best for you.
